Bio:

I live in Tampa, Florida and have lived in Florida for my entire life (minus a year detour in Southern Georgia).

I’m currently enrolled in the online Master’s program in Applied Anthropology at the University of North Texas. My focus is in design anthropology and I’d like to work in the tech industry. I hold a BA degree in Applied Anthropology from the University of South Florida.

Research interests:

I have been working on research about online education with my advisor since January 2007.  Our goal with the research is to make theoretically informed recommendations for the UNT online master’s program and other online courses at UNT.  We’ve been using linguistic anthropology to analyze the data for online community and virtual pedagogy.

I am very interested in making anthropology accessible to students and non-anthropologists.  This was my inspiration for the SfAA Podcasts.
